With nearly a third of 2024 behind us now, you might think it’s out of season to talk about resolutions and fitness goals. But for me, the renewal of the Earth’s vegetation and the prospect of pool parties encourages me to get out and move after a cold, muggy winter. If the same is true for you, a fitness tracker can be a great motivator that can help you chart your progress. Thankfully, Walmart is currently selling the Fitbit Charge 5 starting at just $75, which is 50 percent off and easily one of the best prices we’ve ever seen.

We weren’t big fans of some of Fitbit’s design choices for the last-gen Charge 5. The biggest offender was its lack of a physical navigation button, which made using the finicky touch-based user interface more aggravating. (If that button is important to you, you should be aware that it returned on the newer Charge 6.) It’s a very capable fitness tracker otherwise, though, with up to seven hours of battery life, a colorful always-on display, and built-in GPS — a rare combo at this price. It also offers a comprehensive assortment of advanced health tracking features, including an electrodermal activity sensor to measure stress levels, as well as ECG and SpO2 sensors.

The Fitbit Charge 5 does all the usual heart rate and activity tracking and also offers access to new tools like an EDA Scan app to manage stress, as well as a six-month membership to Fitbit Premium.

Jabra makes some of the best midrange earbuds on the market, which is probably why we still consider the Jabra Elite 3 some of the best earbuds you can buy for under $100. That said, last year’s Jabra Elite 4offer a similar listening experience for a slightly higher price, along with active noise cancellation, multipoint Bluetooth support, and other small enhancements. And right now, you can buy them at Amazon, Best Buy, and Jabra’s online storefront for $79.99 ($20 off).

Besides ANC and multipoint — the latter of which enables quicker device switching — the Elite 4 are largely similar to their predecessors. They offer up to seven hours of continuous playback with ANC switched off or up to 5.5 hours with the new feature engaged. You’ll also get 21 hours of extra battery life with the included charging case. Their IP55 rating for dust and water resistance is also the same as the Elite 3, as are the 6mm drivers, which we found to be pretty clear and well-balanced for the budget-friendly price.

  • Best Buy is now offering a $10 gift card when you preorder Star Wars Outlaws, which starts at $69.99 and goes up to $129.99, depending on the version. The game launches on August 30th for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC, bringing us the franchise’s first open-world adventure. Many are understandably hesitant to preorder Ubisoft games given the kinds of quality control issues the studio has shown over the years, but based on the gameplay we’ve seen so far, it does look like a pretty classic Star Wars outing. Either way, we’re expecting to see more at the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event on June 10th.
  • The cube is a criminally underused shape in the world of technology, but you can bring it back as a useful home theater centerpiece with Amazon’s Fire TV Cube, which is down to $114.99 ($25 off) at Amazon and Best Buy. The 4K streaming box is the fastest in its family, with an octa-core processor and Wi-Fi 6E. Its Echo-like functionality also makes it one of the few streamers that doubles as a smart home speaker. The third-gen Cube offers a smooth user experience with apps and games, which you can navigate with Alexa voice commands or the included remote; it also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. • You can pick up a 41mm Apple Watch Series 8 with LTE and a white Sport Band for $299 ($200 off) at Walmart. Apple’s last-gen wearable isn’t dramatically different from the newer Apple Watch Series 9, though you will miss out on the newer model’s double-tap feature and on-device Siri. However, you’ll still be able to take advantage of many of the same health features, including EKG heart rate monitoring, menstrual cycle tracking, irregular heartbeat alerts, fall detection, and emergency calling. • Sennheiser’s Momentum True Wireless 3 are down to around $149.95 ($130 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo, which is just $30 more than their all-time low. They’ve since been supplanted by the newer True Wireless 4; however, the last-gen model still holds up well when it comes to audio quality, allowing them to hang with the top models from Bose, Sony, and Apple. They feature solid ANC with a useful transparency mode, as well as a wireless charging case that adds another 21 hours of battery life to their seven-hour runtime. Read our review.
