When it comes to VR headsets, the Apple Vision Pro might still be the new kid on the block, but it also comes with a hefty $3,499 price tag. The latest Meta Quest 3 is a great alternative, and while it certainly isn’t perfect, it’s more than capable, especially when you consider the price.
Unfortunately, because the Meta Quest 3 is still relatively new, deals are hard to come by. However, buying the 128GB version will net you a free game, while the 512GB model will also get you Meta Quest Plus for six months. The game and subscription add up to about $100, so it’s a good deal if you look at it from that perspective.
Unlike the Meta Quest 2, the Quest 3 embraces both virtual-reality and mixed-reality experiences in a way that’s similar to the Apple Vision Pro and last year’s Quest Pro. It costs a lot less than both of those devices, though, which immediately gives it a pretty big advantage.
Other improvements over its predecessor include a new Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, better graphics, a higher-resolution display and improved controllers.

Newegg is offering a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2 with Meta Quest 3 for $499. Upgrade to the 512GB Meta Quest 3 and you’ll get the same free game plus six months of Meta Quest Plus, but this package will set you back $649.
Similar to the Newegg deal, Amazon’s offer features both versions of the Meta Quest 3 and includes a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2 (a $60 value). Go for the 512GB variant for $649 and you’ll also get a free six-month trial of Meta Quest Plus along with Asgard’s Wrath 2.
Best Buy is offering a similar deal to Amazon and Newegg. Purchase either the Quest 3 128 GB or 512 GB and get a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2. Best Buy is also offering a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with your purchase.
Target has the same offer as the retailers above, including a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2. You’ll also save 5% when you pay with a Target RedCard, which saves you up to $25.
Walmart is also offering a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2 with the Meta Quest 3.
You can, of course, go straight to Meta to pick up the new Quest 3 headset. And you’ll see the same free game there. If you upgrade to the 512GB model, you’ll also get the six-month trial to Meta Quest Plus for free.
The Quest 3 is also available for purchase at B&H, and the 128GB model is currently $499, so no discount here, however you will get the free game. You can also get tax refunded as cash back if you pay with B&H’s own Payboo credit card.
