Last year was a roller coaster for Ariana Madix, to put it lightly. The "Vanderpump Rules" star famously ended her 10-year relationship after discovering a months-long affair between her then-boyfriend and best friend. While the fallout literally changed everything, Madix is much more than another reality TV fixture recovering from a messy breakup. In fact, her future has never looked brighter. On the seventh episode of season 11 of "Vanderpump Rules," which was filmed in the spring/summer of 2023, astrologer and castmate Ally Lewber said that by March 2024, Madix would be in a much better place. And she is. She was cast in "Dancing With the Stars" season 32, she starred in a Broadway show, and she has countless brand deals, including Duracell batteries, BIC razors, and a new shoe collection with DSW. Her current emotional state is a bit more complicated. "I think it's going to take me still a lot more time to be able to reflect and kind of truly process the last year of my life," Madix tells PS. However, she still thinks Lewber's reading was spot on. "Ally can read a chart, and she very accurately has predicted the future. She's so smart, she's so good at it," says Madix, before adding: "I think that she was right." To kick-start her self-reflection and healing journey, Madix wrote the cocktail recipe book, "Single AF Cocktails," and she calls it her version of a breakup album. "I'm always so impressed by people who can turn their life experiences or emotions into music - and maybe one day I'll be able to do that," she says, noting that she's a big fan of Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, and Kacey Musgraves. "But cocktails are my creative medium. I wanted to have this, my breakup album, told through cocktails and photography." Madix's "Single AF Cocktails" book includes cocktail creations for various life experiences. Trying to get over a past lover? "I had not done partner dancing before, and my partner being such an incredible ballroom dancer and knowing how to do this partner-style dance, was able to show me just how that works. There's a trust there, and there's knowing that you're safe." After finishing in third place on the show, the Los Angeles native made her Broadway debut in "Chicago" and performed her heart out as Roxie Hart. Despite having a résumé that most reality stars can only dream of, Madix says she's actually just getting started. "There's so many things that I want to do," she reveals. "I would love to come back to Broadway, whether in 'Chicago' again or at another show. I love being on stage. It's so much fun every night, and who knows what the future has in store? I am open and ready, and excited to see what happens." Next on her agenda? She's heading to Fiji for her new hosting gig on "Love Island USA." These sheets keep me warm, locking in my body heat on cold nights. But they also keep me refreshed and cool when I feel too stuffy and hot at night. They're both breathable and insulating, truly adapting to my body's needs throughout the night. These sheets are functional year-round and with proper care, they'll last a long time, too. All that's missing is the beachfront property with an ocean breeze (a girl can dream). Shay Mitchell changed the luggage landscape with Béis, providing functional and stylish travel gear from the bestselling Mini Weekender to the editor-obsessed Commuter collection. She has a keen eye for design, so when she wanted to revamp her Béis office, she partnered with CB2 to transform her warehouse space into a stylish abode with the help of her friend and interior designer, Chad Wood. "Combining fashion and function with an affordable price point are the three buckets that are important to me while designing Béis - it's the same thing with our office," she told PS. "We wanted something that looked incredible and had a function. With the chairs, I need them to be comfortable and not only look pretty, same with the couches. The desk needs to be usable in size and fit what we need it to be able to do." Since her warehouse space features industrial elements like wood ceilings, concrete floors, and white tiling, they chose furniture pieces that would add warmth to the space. For the longest time, I was not a fan of wearing deodorant. For starters, traditional deodorants would make my underarm area darker and hyperpigmented. On top of that, they would irritate my skin, resulting in breakouts, and the ingrown hairs didn't help. I was super self-conscious about my darker underarms, but I didn't want to smell bad either. To help alleviate some of the breakouts and ingrown hairs, I started to treat the area with skin-care products. Since I'm acne-prone, I applied a range of AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids, like glycolic acid and lactic acid) and BHAs (beta hydroxy acids, like salicylic acid) and employed the viral TikTok hack of using The Ordinary's Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner. If it works for my face, it should work for my underarms. Sure enough, using AHAs and BHAs helped clear up my underarm area and even out my skin tone, and it completely replaced my need for deodorant. As more brands start to incorporate AHAs and BHAs in their deodorant formulas, Billie's AHA Deodorant ($13) in particular piqued my interest. Although it's gentle, it's still effective at preventing and fading discoloration and ingrown hairs, while also keeping the underarms smooth and soft. Because of its multi-acid formulation, it is still effective at eliminating odor-causing bacteria, just like a regular AHA toner. What I love about the deodorant is its fresh, clean scent. I don't want my deodorant to smell overpowering or to compete with my perfume. I tried two of the three aquatic and floral scents: Lavender Milk and Tidal Rose. Both are light enough to complement my other fragrances but long-lasting, so they don't fade as the day goes on. From workouts to stuffy subways, or anything that typically makes me break a sweat, I still can't smell any trace of my body odor. Plus, the formula goes on clear and dries quickly, so you don't need to worry about staining clothes or getting the gel everywhere. How to Use the Billie AHA Deodorant Billie's AHA Deodorant has a roll-on applicator that makes it convenient and mess-free to apply the gel directly to my underarms. A little goes a long way with this gel deodorant. The formula takes around 30 seconds to dry down completely, so I like to apply it, then keep my hands raised and do a mini upward stretch. I've noticed that if I apply too much of the product, it settles with a stickier finish. What to Consider Before Trying the Billie AHA Deodorant The AHA Deodorant is an odor-eliminating gel, but it does not necessarily prevent sweating.
