Amazon Prime Day is just around the corner, but if you can’t wait until then, July 4th often brings deals on a host of tech. We’re still about a week out from the actual holiday — which seems to commemorate our independence as much as capitalism itself — but you can already take advantage of a few sales right now at Adorama, Amazon, and a number of other retailers. They include discounts spanning a range of popular tech, too, from 4K TVs and speakers to smart lighting and robot vacuums.

Not every Fourth of July sale is worth shelling out for, though. Fortunately, to make sifting through the sea of lawn chairs and watermelon-laden tablecloths a little easier, we’ve rounded up some of the better deals you can already get. Sony’s waterproof Linkbuds S can automatically switch between ambient sound and noise cancellation based on your environment. They also feature support for the LDAC lossless audio codec.

The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 are the company’s best set of noise-canceling earbuds yet, with a more refined design, even better sound quality than before, and support for wireless charging.

  • You can buy Apple’s AirPods Max for $449.99 (about $99 off) at Best Buy and Amazon. Along with great noise cancellation and terrific sound quality, the over-ear headphones offer a premium design and comfortable mesh ear pads. Read our review.

  • Jabra’s Elite 4 Active are on sale for $95.99 ($24 off) at eBay when you use the promo code SAVE4JULY4TH at checkout. The wireless earbuds offer an IP57 rating, making them particularly suitable for sweaty workouts.

  • Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Liveare on sale starting at $92.70 ($58 off) at Amazon and for slightly more at Best Buy and B&H Photo. Although Google’s wireless earbuds are nearly three years old at this point, they still offer good sound quality along with a unique, bean-shaped design. Read our review.

The LG C3 offers more processing power than its predecessor and several new picture modes. It continues to offer a 120Hz refresh rate and low input lag as well, along with support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync variable refresh rate tech.

  • If you prefer something a little cheaper than LG’s C3, you can currently pick up the LG C2 in the 41-inch configuration at Amazon and Best Buy starting at $846.99. The last-gen OLED is similar to the newer C3 model, with both sporting a 120Hz refresh rate and low input lag, but it lacks the improved processing power and new picture modes found on the C3.

The 2022 model of Samsung’s art-inspired 4K TV retains the same QLED display as its predecessor but uses an anti-glare matte display, which provides artwork and photos with qualities that resemble an actual canvas.

  • Various configurations of Amazon’s latest Fire TV Omni QLED are on sale right now, including the 65-inch model, which is down to $599.99 ($200 off) at Amazon and Best Buy. Unlike its predecessor, the newer 4K TV offers full-array local dimming and displays artwork and Alexa widgets when idle.

If you want an amazing-looking display at a somewhat low price, LG’s A2 OLED is an excellent value. It lacks the high refresh rate panel and brightness of the pricier LG C2 and C3, but the A2 costs less for fantastic picture quality.

  • You can also buy Amazon’s last-gen Fire TV Omni at a discount. The 55-inch model, for example, is on sale for $307.99 ($252 off) at Best Buy, which is even less than what it’s going for at Amazon. The 4K TV offers deep integration with Alexa and support for two-way video calling, though its lacks support for Dolby Vision like the larger configurations. Read our review.

The new SE for 2022 borrows a few features from the Series 8, including the same chipset and Crash Detection feature, but it’s an otherwise subtle upgrade from the last-gen SE.

  • You can currently buy Coleman’s foldable Classic Propane Gas Camping Stove for $48 ($27 off) at Walmart. The camping stove — which is ideal for car camping — is pretty basic, given it lacks an igniter and only offers two burners, but it cooks food well enough.
  • The travel-friendly Aeropress Go is on sale with 100 micro filters for $31.89 ($8 off) at REI. The manual coffee press is capable of brewing up to three 8-ounce cups of coffee at a time, yet it is light enough that you can bring it with you just about anywhere.
  • The Solo Stove Bonfire 2.0, a stainless steel fire pit that comes with an ashtray you can use while camping or in your backyard, is on sale for $229.99 ($170 off) direct from Solo Stove.
  • You can buy the Wahoo Fitness RPM speed and cadence sensor bundle right now for $55.99 ($15 off) at REI and Amazon. The handy gadgets mount to your road bike, cruiser, or mountain bike, allowing you to track your cycling speed and cadence in real time.

Few portable speakers have enjoyed the same popularity as the Ultimate Ears Boom 3. With 360-degree sound, a waterproof construction, and easy controls, it’s not surprising this Bluetooth speaker has stuck around for so long.

The hourglass-shaped Sonos Era 300 is designed from the ground up for spatial audio and Dolby Atmos. It supports the same Bluetooth and line-in features as the Era 100.   • Apple’s second-gen HomePod is on sale in either white or black for $289 ($10 off) at B&H Photo.   • Adorama and Sonos are both selling a bundle containing an Atmos-ready Sonos Arc soundbar, a third-gen Sonos Sub, and two of the new Sonos Era 100 speakers for $2,096 ($100 off).

JBL’s Clip 4 Eco is the more eco-friendly version of the standard Clip 4. The ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker is identical to the standard model — and thus can be clipped onto just about anything — but is made of recycled materials.

  • The JBL Charge 5 offers an impressive battery life of up to 20 hours, which is why it’s one of our favorite Bluetooth speakers. You can buy it on sale from REI, Best Buy, and JBL for $149.99 ($30 off).
  • You can also buy the cheaper JBL Flip 6 Bluetooth speaker from REI for $99.99 ($30 off). The Bluetooth speaker offers an IP67 water rating and up to 12 hours of battery life.

This sleek Bluetooth smart lock supports Apple Home and will auto-unlock for you as you approach your door. Wi-Fi and Z-Wave modules add more smart home support for $80 each. A Matter module is in the works, and you can choose to have a keyed lock, too.

  • You can buy Google’s Nest Learning Thermostat for $189.99 ($60 off) from Best Buy, Google, and Staples. The smart thermostat is capable of learning your cooling and heating preferences over time and comes with support for Alexa and Google Home.
  • The Arlo Essential Wired Video Doorbellis on sale in white for $59.49 ($70 off) at Amazon or in black for $79.99 ($50 off) at Amazon and Best Buy. Arlo’s high-res video doorbell works with all smart home platforms and comes with smart alerts for people, packages, animals, and vehicles.

The best bang for your buck, the Roomba i3 Evo cleans just as well as the j7 but won’t avoid clutter and doesn’t have app-enabled clean zones or keep-out zones.

Nanoleaf’s modular lights can showcase over 16 million colors, and you can arrange them in a variety of fun patterns. The smart lights are also compatible with both Alexa and Google Assistant.

  • You can buy Nanoleaf’s nine-panel Lines Smarter Kit for $179.99 ($20 off) at Adorama, Amazon, and Best Buy. The smart LED light bars are compatible with Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and Alexa and can be arranged in a wide variety of patterns.
  • Best Buy is selling an Arlo Pro 4 bundle that includes three Pro 4 cameras, a set of rechargeable batteries, and a dual battery charging station for $299.99 ($300 off). Not only can the wire-free security cameras produce 2K video with a 160-degree viewing angle, but they can be used both indoors and outdoors. The Pro 4 also features support for color night vision and comes with an integrated spotlight.

  • The Nintendo Switch OLED is on sale at Adorama for $344.99 ($4 off), which is a small discount but one that applies to a console that often isn’t discounted. Read our review.
  • Nintendo’s official Animal Crossing-themed Nintendo Switch case is on sale for $14.99 ($10 off) at Adorama. Note, however, that the protective case only fits the standard Switch console, not the Nintendo Switch Lite.

  • If you own the ninth- or 10th-gen iPad (or something even older), you can pick up the first-gen Apple Pencil at Best Buy, Amazon, or Walmart right now for $79 ($20 off). Bear in mind, however, that the stylus lacks gesture controls and can’t magnetically attach to either tablet like the newer model.
  • You can buy the Samsung Tab S8 with 128GB of storage from Best Buy, Samsung, and Amazon for $599.99 ($100 off). The Android tablet might not be able to tap into the same kind of app ecosystem as an iPad, but it integrates well with other Samsung devices while offering both a terrific display and performance. Belkin’s laptop-friendly Continuity Camera mount offers great build quality, a built-in kickstand, and — most importantly — an easy way to use your MagSafe-equipped iPhone as a webcam.

The GoPro Hero 10 Black offers a better processor than its predecessor, making it possible to shoot in 4K resolution at 120 frames per second. Its sensor isn’t as large as the GoPro Hero 11 Black’s, however, nor is it capable of shooting at up to an 8:7 aspect ratio at 5.3K.

  • Apple’s leather AirTag Loop is down to $27.99 ($11 off) in brown at Adorama. You can also buy it in red for half off, which drops the price to $19.99. Apple’s ultra-wideband Bluetooth trackers lack a lanyard hole, so the accessory makes it possible to clip your AirTags to your backpack, keys, and other items.
