Ryan Gosling, Slash, and Other Barbie Stars Perform ‘I’m Just Ken’ at the Oscars 2024

Ryan Gosling led one of the highlights of the 2024 Oscars as he performed ”I’m Just Ken” alongside other Kens from Barbie like Simu Liu, Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, Emma Stone, and even Margot Robbie, America Ferrera, and Greta Gerwig.

‘I’m Just Ken’ was up for Best Song at the Oscars and Gosling jumped on and off stage to give Barbie fans a moment they won’t soon forget. He kicked things off by singing right behind Robbie and then went on stage to join a few of the Kens from the film, including Simu Liu, Kinglsey Ben-Adir, Ncuti Gatwa, and Scott Evans. He also shared the stage with Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, and Wolfgang Van Halen.

After he is carried on his back amid a bunch of Barbie cutouts, he appears next to Slash as he adds another great layer to the festivities. He then jumped off stage and let Robbie, Gerwig, and Ferrera sing a bit of the song. As if that wasn’t enough, he let his La La Land co-star Emma Stone get in a few words as well.

While the performance was undoubtedly a great one, ‘I’m Just Ken’ actually lost the Oscar to another Barbie song – Billie Eilish’s ‘What Was I Made For?’ – which was the only Oscar the film won.

Oppenheimer was the big winner of the 96th Academy Awards as it won Best Picture, Best Director (Christopher Nolan), Actor in a Leader Role (Cillian Murphy), Actor in a Supporting Role (Robert Downey Jr.), Cinematography, Music (Original Score), and Film Editing.
