Roblox fashion game Dress to Impress has always been brat. But it’s now officially Brat Summer in the game, with the Brat update launching in Dress to Impress on Aug. 17. The update is everything Brat, Charli XCX’s new summer hit album. And it’s a perfect match.
Dress to Impress was released on Roblox in 2023, but it’s really blown up over the past few months. Currently, there are nearly 300,000 people playing it on Roblox; if this were Steam, it’d slide in the most-played list in fifth, right after Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Banana. In it, you’ve got five minutes to pick an outfit based off a theme, running around and picking up pieces of clothing. When the time’s up, each player votes for the best look. It’s a simple premise that’s executed in a way that makes it both a game and a social experience. Pop star Madison Beer called in “healing” in a recent Twitch stream.
Dress to Impress already has a ton of fashion options, but the Brat update added a bunch more — and plenty of brat green. There are new hair, makeup, poses (including the “Apple” dance), and patterns. Eight new themes were added, too: stuff like Mean Girls, Y2K, Rotten to the Core, and Brat.
So what sort of outfit wins in Brat Summer? The obvious answer is lots of lime green. But you’ll also want a crop top, fishnets, and knee high boots. For those in doubt, just recreate Charli XCX’s iconic outfits.
