The US Open returns for its 124th year on Thursday morning, with the competition scheduled to run through the weekend. Coverage is a bit complicated, but we’ve combed through all of the details so that you don’t have to. Keep reading to learn how to watch the US Open from home.
Rather than take place on the same course each year, the US Open rotates through a handful of golf courses around the country. This year’s tournament will take place at Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina. Scottie Scheffler, the 2024 Masters Tournament champion and the current world no. 1 player in the PGA, is a favorite to win at the US Open this year. Scheffler will tee off for Round 1 on Thursday at 1:14 p.m. ET, alongside no. 2 Xander Schauffele and no. 3 Rory McIlroy. Tiger Woods, Max Home, and 2023 US Open Champion Wyndham Clark are also scheduled to tee off on Thursday.

How to watch the US Open in the US
US Open coverage is spread across NBC, USA, and Peacock in the US. Round 1 coverage begins on Thursday, when USA will carry the tournament from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Peacock will then carry coverage from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET. Friday’s Round 2 coverage starts on Peacock from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET, before it switches to NBC from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET. On Thursday and Friday, you can keep up with all of the action just on Peacock if you’re looking to simplify your streaming plans. Peacock subscriptions start at just $5.99 a month.
Peacock Premium (Monthly Plan)
Peacock is a convenient streaming source for hit NBC TV shows, Universal movies, and select sports like Sunday Night Football. Prices start at just $6 a month, with additional discounts on annual plans.
You’ll need to branch out beyond Peacock for weekend coverage since the streaming service’s US Open All Access is slightly more limited on Saturday and Sunday.
