House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones Books Are on Sale

It’s good to be back in the game — the Game of Thrones, that is. House of the Dragon is back for its second season on Max, or HBO, or whatever they’re calling it these days. Having new televised content set in Westeros is always a good thing, even when the characters are doing very bad things to one aother. But if you crave words that transport your mind to George R. R. Martin’s fantasy worlds, here’s some good news: all of the relevant the books are on sale. You can get big discounts on Fire & Blood, as well as on a leatherbound set of the main Song of Ice and Fire series.

Of course, all the mainline Game of Thrones books have been available for at least a decade. But if you’ve missed out on them, or simply want a high quality matching set that’s bound in leather, here’s a deal. You can get the set at Amazon right now, on sale for $46 (down from $85). Naturally it doesn’t include Winds of Winter, but who knows when that will release, if it ever even does.

If you’re eager to get ahead of the currently airing TV show, however, you’ll need to venture beyond those titles. The House of the Dragon show is based on Fire & Blood, a hefty tome that’s not your typical fantasy novel, even by George R. R. Martin standards. It’s a fictional history book of Westeros that traces many decades of dramatic events in House Targaryen. It’s on sale right now for $16.99, down from its usual $22.

And if you’re looking to pick up the first season of House of the Dragon, you can also save some cash on that. It’s on sale at Amazon for $22.49, down from its usual $30 price tag. It includes the whole first season in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and digital.
