Crytocurrency and NVIDIA stock are back on the rise and, unfortunately, along with the price of GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs. Right now a 4090 GPU goes for about a $300-$500 markup on Amazon. This is one of Alienware’s highest end configs, with a new liquid-cooled 14th gen Intel Core i9 processor and a coveted RTX 4090 GPU.

This config is equipped with an Intel Core i9-14900KF CPU, GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD. The 14th-gen Intel Core i9-14900KF Raptor Lake Refresh CPU boasts a max clock of 6GHz with 24 cores, 32 threads, and a 36MB cache. This is Intel’s newest i9 chip and it boasts a higher clock speed, more cores, more threads, and more cache than the 13th-gen i9-13900K CPU. The entire system is powered by a 1000W 80PLUS Platinum PSU. A side panel window is installed to show off the components, but overall the look of the R16 doesn’t scream “gaming PC” unlike its predecessors.
Speaking of the chassis, the R16 is the newest Alienware Aurora gaming chassis, and it’s the biggest departure from Alienware’s iconic design in years. The R16 is 40% smaller in volume compared to previous iterations but has better thermal management. It features a simple yet proven airflow design; air is drawn in through the side intake vents over the GPU area as well as a 120mm rear fan drawing air in and a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler exhausts air out through the top. A side benefit is that the GPU is supplied with fresh air from the outside instead of recirculating hot internal air.
The RTX 4090 is the most powerful GPU on the market. No other video card, either from NVIDIA or from AMD, comes close. As a reference, the RTX 4090 is about 110% faster at 4K gaming than the already impressive RTX 3080. It’s about 60% faster than the previous king, the RTX 3090 Ti.
