said its board declared a special cash dividend of $10 per share of common stock.
The special dividend is payable on Dec. 21 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on Dec. 15, the company said Tuesday.
Avis Budget also said it purchased about 1.3 million shares of its common stock to date in the fourth quarter, for an aggregate purchase price of around $240 million. The current share repurchase program has about $820 million remaining.
