In its almost 35 years on-air, The Simpsons has become synonymous with TV and defined the primetime animated comedy subgenre. Whether you’re looking to catch up on the past 34 seasons or you’re hoping to tune in live to Season 35, we’ve got you covered on everything you need to know about where to watch The Simpsons online.

The Simpsons has become the longest-running animated American series of all time since first premiering in 1989. The Fox comedy follows Homer Simpson and his family in their day-to-day lives. While the show has faced some criticism over the years and ebbed and flowed in popularity, it has been consistently lauded for its humor and maintained a strong presence throughout pop culture.

Below, we’ll show you all the ways you can watch the show, no matter where you are in the world.

Where to watch The Simpsons in the US

The Simpsons airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET on Fox in the US. If you’re looking to tune in live but don’t have cable, you’ll need to try one of the cable alternative live TV streaming packages, such as Sling TV or Hulu + Live TV.

For Sling TV, you’ll need to opt for the Sling Blue package. Remember that Fox is only available on Sling in select regions, including those whose affiliate local channel comes from New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Austin. Check out the full list on Sling’s website to see if the network is available in an area near you. Sling Blue subscriptions start at $40 per month.

Sling TV Subscription

For just the essentials without any extra fluff, Sling TV is the streaming service you’re looking for. It’s more customizable than other plans, with three options you can choose from, so you pay for only what you need. New members get their first month for $10 off.

Another live option is Hulu + Live TV, which starts at $76.99 per month. While the monthly rate is certainly higher than Sling TV’s, it includes Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu’s on-demand catalog.

Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV includes over 90 channels, along with Hulu’s on-demand library and access to Disney Plus and ESPN Plus. Adding live TV drives up the price significantly, but it’s a rolling one-month contract that you’re free to cancel at any time. As live TV services go, though, this is one of the best.

New episodes of The Simpsons are also available to stream next-day on Hulu, if you don’t mind not watching live. Hulu’s basic ad-supported plan starts at $7.99 per month. This is also where you’ll find the current seasons of the rest of Fox’s “Animation Domination” shows.

Hulu with Ads (Monthly Plan)

Hulu offers thousands of shows and movies, including popular network titles and exclusive originals. Go for the ad-supported tier, and it’s only $7.99 a month. Going for no-ads is a further $10 a month.

If you’re looking to catch up on the past 34 seasons of “The Simpsons,” you’ll need a Disney+ subscription. Disney+ monthly rates start at $7.99 for their ad-supported plan, but for $2 more a month ($9.99), you can bundle and get both Disney+ and Hulu, which will allow you to stream almost all 760+ episodes of The Simpsons (“Stark Raving Dad,” a Season 3 episode deemed offensive, is not available on the streaming service). Check out our full pricing guide to see all of the options available to you.

Where to watch The Simpsons in the UK & 60+ other countries

34 seasons of The Simpsons are available to stream on Disney+ in the UK and over 60 other countries. You’ll have to wait until the entirety of Season 35 finishes airing in the US to find it on Disney+, as episodes are not uploaded weekly and instead usually become available on Disney+ once the next season starts.

How to watch The Simpsons from anywhere

If you’re hoping to tune into the current season of The Simpsons but you’re currently traveling outside of the US, then you can check out a VPN (virtual private network). VPNs change your device’s location so that you can access websites and apps that might otherwise not be available in your current geographical location. All of the services we’ve highlighted for the new season require US forms of payment, so this quick fix is best for Americans who are simply abroad at the moment and are hoping to access their existing subscriptions.

If you’re interested in VPNs but unsure where to start, our recommendation is ExpressVPN. It’s a user-friendly option with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Interested in learning more? Check out our ExpressVPN review, where we give you a full rundown of the service.
